2012:
Call to Consciousness!
Blessed New Year to
you! I wish you a year filled with joy, laughter, and
light. Like you, I've been researching and praying a
great deal about what this year may bring, and what I can do
to make it a wonderful year. Below is what I've
learned and what I think and feel about this coming year.
The world is not coming to an end on December 21, 2012.
I don't think we need to go into full survival mode just
yet, but I do think we need to pay attention. As I
watched the "2012 Decoded" program recently on the History
Channel, I was struck by what was not included
in a very doom-and-gloom discussion. While the program
focused on an increase in natural disasters, wars,
pollution/global warming, and, from one interviewee, a need
for stock-piling guns and food, it did not focus on the
effect we each can have in bringing about positive change. It's basic quantum physics. For every action,
there is a corresponded reaction. For each act of
kindness, each act of love, each act of consciousness in our
moment-by-moment lives, there is a reciprocal, positive
reaction. Ecological Systems Theory says everything is
related to everything else. We really all are
connected.
It's basic astrology. Many planetary shifts occur
during this year, including a rare event in which Venus
transits the Sun on June 6. This event is a clear
invitation to bring more love into our lives. Pluto
squares Uranus until 2015 seven different times. This
is a call to stop abusive practices and to restore decency
and kindness in all relationships. Neptune enters
Pisces on February 4, and will remain in that sign until
2025. Old karmic debts need to be paid, and we need to
be still to release deep wisdom from within and without.
Many lessons will come to us from the seas.
It's basic spirit. The essence of Spirit is Love.
Mother Teresa said, "Not all of us can do great things, but
we can do small things with great love."
