Croneworks Practical Spirituality Series with co-sponsorship
from NASW-NC presents our 2nd Annual Women's Retreat:
The
Courage of Spirit
Friday, September 28 - Sunday, September 30, 2007
Camp Kirkwood Presbyterian Retreat Center
Burgaw, North Carolina
Facilitated by Deb Bowen, MSW, LCSW
Co-Sponsored by NASW-NC
General Information:
Last year the CroneWorks Practical Spirituality
retreat series focused on creating peace in ourselves, our
work, our world! We continue this theme this year with
a commitment to courage. The retreat helps us to
examine what we need to create courage in our lives, and
provides tools to help women lead lives with more valor.
We are honored to have you join us!
Mission Statement:
Living in the world today takes great
courage – personally, professionally, and spiritually.
Women are challenged at home, at work, and in the world to
live bravely, rather than fearfully. This retreat affords
women opportunities to closely examine ways in which they
are already courageous on a daily basis, and provides tools
for action that enhance their ability to live with even more
valor.
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this
retreat, participants will be able to:
1. Examine their concept of
courage.
2. Develop new ways in which they can find strength
within themselves to be more courageous on a daily basis.
3. Integrate their knowledge into action at home, at
work, and in their community.
4. Become more involved citizens at a global level.
